Blade Body Design - Okuma's Blade Body Design narrows the profile of the ree's frame. This feature reduces weight eliminating the extra mass and bulk of the reel, giving the reel a much lighter and compact design with a strikingly sharp appearance.
DFD - Dual Force Drag System: DFD incorporates both surfaces of the spool to maximize high-end drag pressure, efficiency and over all smoothness. Mounted in the top of the spool and protected by the Hydro Block system is a multi-disk felt drag system that works in conjunction with a secondary drag system that is mounted under the spool. Even pressure is applied to both surfaces of the spool for maximum stability.

High Density Gearing (HDG) - Okuma's proprietary HDF forged main gear has been engineerred to be 50% stronger than standard gearing due to its unique alloy composition and density. Helical cut gears further enhanced the drive systems smoothness and efficiency, by improved gear meshing. HDF gears were specifically designed to withstand the brutal punishment that today's super braids can place on a reels drive system.

Shimano Stradic FI Spinning Reel ST6000FI A-RB (Anti-Rust Bearings) are made of Stainless Steel that has been through the A-RB process. At least 10 times more corrosion resistant than standard Stainless Steel ball bearings. Easy Maintenance-no shield design allows for easy flushing of debris and easy lubrication. Increased Bearing Speed-no shield design and lighter viscosity lubrication reduce friction and allow the bearing to spin faster and longer.

Shimano Saros Front Drag Spin Reel SAR1000F This two-speed oscillation system layers the line onto the spool in a criss-cross pattern that reduces line-to-line friction for longer casts. Aerowrap reels utilize a worm gear design to move the spool upward quickly and downward slowly to wind the line in a precise pattern, reducing friction and giving smoother, longer casting ability.

Shimano Saros Front Drag Spin Reel SAR3000F The most obvious component of the Propulsion Line Management System is the new Propulsion spool lip design. Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations it has been determined that this new spool lip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spool lip design while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off of the spool in smaller loops during the cast which means less slap on the stripper guide. This means longer casts with less friction. The Propulsion spool also utilizes a long stroke design to further enhance the casting distance. Furthermore, there is less bouncing of the line on the spool lip like on a standard spinning spool. Because of the unique shape of the Propulsion spool, the line flows consistently off of the spool. So, with a standard spool, friction alternates from heavy to light as the line slaps the spool lip. This causes backlash and inconsistent line speeds. The Propulsion spool lip provides consistently light friction to overcome these situations.

Saros 4000F FrontDrag SpinReel - Featuring a 1000 size spool on a 750 body, the Saros F brings new meaning to light tackle, but do not mistake its small size for timidness. Utilizing the new Paladin Gear Durability Enhancement and Propulsion Spool Lip, durability, reliability and performance are nothing to worry about. Add in Shielded A-RB bearings, a sealed Maintenance Port, and thread-in machined Aluminum handle, along with many other features, the Saros F will be a performer for years to come.
